Librarians Without Borders (LWB) Membership in Numbers
1500 members (October 2014)
Nearly 50% of our membership is composed of library and information technology professionals, managers and administrators. Another 25% is composed of library and information technology students, while the remaining 25% come from a wide and varied background inside and outside the field of librarianship.

- 6 year partnership (2009 – present)
- 5 service trips completed
- 77 librarians/students participated in service trips
- 2 librarians supported by LWB
- 1 native Guatemalan teacher trained in library operations
- 1 library lending system designed and implemented
- 2 library outreach days with K-12 programming
- 300 K-12 students participated in lending instruction sessions
- 300 low-income students, predominantly indigenous, impacted yearly

- 7 volunteers trained in cataloguing/classification systems
- 535 English books catalogued: 298 Fiction, 200 Non-Fiction and 37 Reference
- 1 Library Day with participation of 200 students in over 16 programs
